A message in a bottle thrown into the shipping channel
On the way from Hamburg through the Gulf of Botnia near Oulu, a letter is sent from onboard the container ship Transjorund. A desire to enter into a dialogue with the indescribable vastness and the distant horizon. Weeks later a receipt from Sweden; a relational space emerges against the botnic winter horizon in talks with Russian-Ukrainian sailors about bottles, Molotovvodka and those left ashore.
