A media theorist looked at my work and asked: 'What is it good for?' A question of equally provocative and inspirational character.
During my stay, I heard the shattering sound of explosions from across the border, Russian military apparently rehearsing their manoeuvres.
I assembled a custom-made step ladder matching the dimensions of a derelict watch tower. From the top of the ladder, I sent morse-code light signals across the guarded border to the Russian watch tower on the other side, forwarding his question: .-- .... .- - .. ... .. - --. --- --- -.. ..-. --- .-. They owe me an answer to the question, just as I still owe him an answer, too.
